The historical society has so much to offer to everyone. Depending on the degree you wish to get involved, you could easily find yourself doing one or more of the following:

·       Re-enacting battles and past events.

·       Help to setup displays and exhibitions for tours.

·       Researching and identifying historical artefacts and their significance.

·      Giving talks on social, political, economic and military history along            with creating educational content.

The amazing thing about history is there is just so much of it! ​Currently all members at present portray British & Commonwealth forces from 1900 to 1945. This is simply due to the interest; the current members have. We would warmly welcome anyone who wishes to portray other countries within that time period also. Either it be French, Belgian, German, Spanish, Russian, American, Japanese and so on. This is world history that we wish to preserve, teach and pass on to the generations to come, so all are welcome.

We focus on inclusivity. No matter where you are from in the world or your beliefs and indeed political alignment, we are all a result of past events. History is there for all to know and understand. So, whether it’d be good or bad, we all share it together in the hopes that we don't repeat the horrific parts. We allow it to serve as a reminder of how great humanity can be together, even in its darkest hours.
